My Story

Michael Ryno

I purchased my first DSLR camera in February 2016, and immediately focused on learning how to use it so that I could attempt to capture the beauty that I often see while exploring the outdoors. Living in Colorado provides me with what seems like an infinite number of fabulous locations to photograph, which include mountains, open vistas, interesting geological formations, lakes, streams, waterfalls, etc. Colorado also has an abundance of wildlife, and I enjoy the challenges of photographing birds and animals in their natural habitat. The camera is now an essential item that I take along while out enjoying other hobbies such as fly fishing, hiking and backpacking. When it comes to outdoor landscape and nature photography, I am a firm believer in the need to protect our parks and wilderness areas, and always follow the "leave no trace" principles.

My beautiful wife Lori and our pet German Shepherd Steiger are often with me during my outdoor excursions.

In addition to photographing the local Colorado mountains, plains and wildlife, I also enjoy exploring other nearby states as well as international destinations. I have also taken an interest in capturing images of architecture and cityscapes, as I am often able to do this during my daily work commute into Downtown Denver.

This website was created to display a sample of the photographs I have taken, with the hope that others will also enjoy viewing them.  In the “Galleries” tab you will find photos that are available for purchase in a variety of high quality formats including paper prints, metal and canvas. I can also special order in acrylic or other formats that are not specifically shown.

Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions you may have.  Feel free to leave comments, including suggestions or recommendations, as I remain focused on continuously improving my photography skills.
